Partnership drives multiple solutions to casinos using Dual-Active RFID
DALLAS, TX, November 14, 2006 — AXCESS International Inc. (OTC: AXSI), a leading provider of Dual-Active™ Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Real Time Location Systems (RTLS) solutions today announced a partnership with Genesis Resources Inc, a leading provider of electronic key control systems in the casino industry. The partnership will enable Genesis Resources Inc. to offer AXCESS’ leading edge Dual-Active RFID solutions for the popular casino key tracking solution along with dozens of other solutions for improved hospitality, security and efficiency. The AXCESS solutions have been implemented in over 15 casinos to date.

Driving the growth of Active RFID in the casino/gaming and hospitality industries is the ability of dual-active RFID to solve a variety of problems. Many states mandate costly re-keying of slot machines if slot keys are taken outside the building. Costs can approach $100,000 in the larger casinos. Active RFID tags attach to key rings and automatically trigger an alarm if the key chain approaches an exit. In another application, long range, hands-free badges for bellmen and valets exiting and entering the building provides increased efficiency and security. Vehicles entering controlled parking areas gain rapid and secure access using RFID tags. RFID tags increase security and improve the gaming experience for the patrons.

AXCESS’ patented ActiveTag™ RFID systems use small, battery powered tags (generically called “semi-active” tags) that when automatically activated, transmit a wireless message typically 30 to 100 feet to hidden palm size receivers. The receivers are connected via standard network simultaneously to the enterprise system software, the existing security alarm equipment, and standalone management software. The tags are typically used for a variety of enterprise productivity applications including automatic personnel access control and tracking, automatic vehicle access control and payload management, automatic asset management and protection, as well as special purpose sensing.
